[bodytext] => A Nocturnal Visitor I tossed and turned in dreamless sleep When I felt the touch, or not a touch. It felt more like a soft breeze brushing my forehead A cool, soothing caress which produced no fear or dread. I opened my eyes and she was there, Just as I remembered her, with dark flowing hair. I still felt her touch but knew it was surreal But the love in her eyes was evident, so real. Mother I whispered but from her not a sound But her words came to me straight to my mind. You are troubled my son, but now it should finish Your guilt for our deaths you should always admonish. The ethereal glow from her touch warmed my body I was dumbstruck but I knew it was real. I knew that she could not say any more And then to her side I noticed a door It was only then that I managed to speak But she did not acknowledge that she had ever heard. I must go now , my love, my son, but do not refuse The ultimate tools with which you can use. I thought of my life change, to give help to others. But how could she know just what was in my mind? I wanted to counsel the many, the others Those in pain, my sisters and brothers. The door disappeared into the night I knew in myself it wasn’t a dream. My mother was with me despite my mistakes But it helps not my heart which constantly aches. I will continue my dream to counsel the others And help with their issues, their fears and their troubles. At least now I know I am never alone My mother possesses me and it’s to her I atone.
