You carry in your hands, the fate of too many
And you wont even hold them with care
But though you never asked for it,
The task is now yours
We are begging for protection
To be wrapped in love and safety
Never to feel the cold of the world
But its all up to you
Please look down at what you clench
Open your fingers and take stock
Of who and what youre strangling
Before we all slip through
Like falling sand

This great responsibility seems it has suddenly been thrust upon this "you" you write of. It can't be God; it can't be a leader because both would choose to do what they do...so I find my self puzzled and intrigued at who this you is that has had the weight of the world put upon them.
Or, on another note, it simply could be a glass factory associate.
It's like a riddle that must be solved.
Quite intriguing. |
