A month too slow

A time i wish would not pass
A time I wish would not last

So close to the end i can taste it
So close but i don't want to waste it

These times, these friends i wouldn't change for the world,
These times, go faster again and again my head swirled

Tally hoe, onward to embrace the rest of our lives,
Tally hoe, onward to the cruel world with cruel motives

I laughed, I did my best, it was do or die.
I laughed, I should have tried harder, why did I lie?

Could the next step be a second chance for me?
Could the next step cause everyone to leave me be?

My thought, my fears,
my anguish, my pride.
All come down to this moment
when buzzer goes off
the rooster crows
the alarm clock rings
the school bell sounds
and i am out of time.

Lord, please let my next step be the right one.
