HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU

Dainty Dandelions, like droplets of sunshine
Warmed the cemetery grounds, where marked
the end of Newt's lifetime.
O'er 50 people, and family closely aligned.
Grieving over Newt"s death, resigned.

***

Annie, his warm and gracious little companion
Along with two sons, one daughter taken.
Simple, direct, and logical talk enjoyed by all.
A reflection of Newt as he walked tall.

***

Tears mixed with laughter as Newt's stories
unfold.
Referees kicked Newt from Basketball game
were told!
That's the Newt we remember,
courageous and bold!
How touching to see, a "signer"
his son Wade is deaf, yet consoled.

***

Pastor Tom Strock was positive,
up-building and kind
Prayers, the most loving you could find.
A song ended his service to remind,
'Tis Trail's end........."Goodbye."
Fittingly, eyes filled, a sorrowful sigh.

***

Vimbo's, a meeting place reserved.
O'er cups of coffee and tea.......
more memories preserved.
He and Annie can be proud indeed!
Handsome kind sons to care for
their ailing Mother in need.

***

The back of Newt's program
ends my poetic tale,
'tis the

Created especially for you
with Warm love,

to loving them in their absence."

A beautiful tribute, Consue. It's always hard to let go, yet we can hold on to those fond memories.

Sort of off topic, how the heck do you get the music to play?

Take care...much love

Tim

Oh this is such a beautiful and, though laden with melancholy,
happy tribute! I adore the addition of the photographs. They
make this even more a wonderful journey of a life well
lived. Thank you for sharing this. I believe death is just another
beginning, and you've given your friend a glowing and gorgeous
send off. Just breathtaking, your words.

Stunning write! -- Achelois

Hi Connie,

A wonderful tribute for someone who was
obviously a true friend and much loved.
You will miss him, I know, but ...... listen to the wind..
