[hometext] => Written April 27th, 2010. I simply hope the common hope that someone will enjoy reading this poem as much as I enjoyed writing it.
[bodytext] => The haste of life our journeyed day shall speed and shape our end in play. Each breath we gain is youth we toss into the wind's unending loss. Against the tides of time we fight to prolong deadly ocean's might. (Though this shall hardly win delight) If wrinkles bring us to a fright, we shall not grasp a future bright. (we must uphold our inward light) As dreams wish held to waking mind we should to want of dreams be kind. Remember then when dark brings sleep to honor dreams your heart should keep. (As this may save your heart from weeping, and your gift of light from sleeping) [comments] => 3 [counter] => 187 [topic] => 21 [informant] => albenweeks [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
