[bodytext] => A Time at Twilight. The small boat floats upon the gentle tide. Twilight expresses its majesty with a dazzling array With the stars beginning to reveal themselves And the Moon moves slowly into the sky, full and bright, Replacing its mother, the Sun and lets her move on, To brighten and warm the days of other climes. My love lies next to me, head nestled in the crook of my neck, Her long, exquisitely fine hair caressing my chest. The combination of Moon and Sun produce a sky, Whose myriad of colours is impossible to describe And which is transferred to the water creating at a glance, The most beautiful roll of velvet spread out to the horizon. She is sleeping but I am taking in this great splendour, Impossible to recreate as a picture or on canvas, Because it involves all of the senses, sight, sound, smell, The touch of my love and the taste of her lips on mine. Now it is just the moon that illuminates the scene with the stars, I never want this moment to end so will wait for the return of the sun. Alistair Muir 04/05/2010.
