Its been a while since
Lighting landed around here.
Now with the bottle in my hand
And the pack almost finished,
Im alight.
Yesterday was a big day.
But I bet you didnt even notice.
My country is off your charts,
Way outside your satellite dish
Deep underground.
Yet again the weather channel was right.
Even without the clouds, a storm comes.
I pull your body, wrap my arm around.
Your eyes see me for the very first time.
You say youre with somebody for years now
And that breaks my heart.
But your voice fuels my lust.
One step forward one step behind
One step forward one step behind
And you go away
When I yell Im falling in love.
Then you come around expecting more
As to mock my desire.
You know I cant touch you.
And that turns you on.
My hands memorize your curves
And your sweat mixes with mine.
One step forward one step behind
One step forward one step behind
Then the music stops.
And the clock shows the way out.
You wont see me again I say.
And you laugh
As to say who gives a *****.
And youre right.
Yeah, youre right.
A step forward then
Now a step behind.
