you're not the mother you should be,
the word "mother" is quite symbolic,
but you'd rather live up to the word alcoholic,
you introduced me to a substance called crack,
immediately hooked, there was no going back,
we would be out copping for hours at a time,
doing our sick, sneaky little crime,
you'd hand me the pipe saying, "take a hit,"
i wondered if i would ever be able to quit,
we would spend our days drinking,
an endless pit, i was sinking,
our nights were in lancaster copping,
one hit, no chance of stopping,
bouncing from dealer to dealer,
where was my spiritual healer?
you would take me against my will,
couldn't you see that i was ill?
you would take me into the woods, far away,
making me wonder if i would see another day,
this is where you would cheat and sleep with your men,
locking me in the van as if it were my pen,
there was no more than a ten foot distance,
and you were aware of my existence,
how could you do this to my father?
this is a troublesome and immense bother,
i was petrifyed to say what was going on,
hoping this nightmare would end by dawn,
your screaming turned to hitting,
and this i am admitting,
the bruises covered me whole,
as if i was no longer nicole,
you were in complete control,
ripping apart my very soul,
to replace the hurt, i'd snort cocaine,
it did numb me of all the pain,
i would watch you do line after line,
five, six, seven, eight, nine,
nine lines and your set to go,
could this ever end, oh no,
from this stage, we'd hit the bar,
mother and daughter, quite bizarre,
for i was only the mere age of fifteen,
doing horrible things with my mother, kathleen.

Very well done a work, and infinitely sad.
Let us pray this is not reality. and if,
that the Lord will show a way out of the pit.
