Array ( [sid] => 160598 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Father's Day [time] => 2010-06-14 18:12:53 [hometext] => A poem i wrote to read at my church [bodytext] => Father's Day is a special time of year.
A time to honor Fathers and to show them that we care.
We appreciate all of the special things they do.
They have helped to mold our minds and to keep our footsteps true.
They uplift our spirit when ever we are sad.
And bring us back to reality whenever we are bad.
A Father is a mixture of a lot of raw emotion,
And can act just like the kids when he gets the notion.
A Father is a playmate,A teacher and A guide.
No matter what the problem on him you can rely.
He is a man who made many sacrifices in his life.
He puts his wants and needs second to his kids and wife.
He goes to work each day to help sustain the ones he loves.
He follows the example of The Father up above.
He shelters us with loving arms and guides us with a gentle hand.
So we know what's right and wrong and when to make a stand.
God has charged all Fathers to teach their children truth from lies,
And to cling tightly to his love and let his light consume your lives.
If you are a Dad today,The Lord has blessed you with his grace.
You knew it the first time you looked upon your babies face.
God looked down from the throne and was moved by the pain you felt.
He said,I'm gonna send a baby girl so in love their heart will melt.
I hope all Dads take full advantage of the blessings you were given,
For when your child was born is the day you started livin.
The only true path to Fatherhood is to walk in all God's ways.
It will bring long life to you and yours and brighten all your days.
God is the Father of all Fathers,Our Father first and last.
He is the original and from his mold every loving Father has been cast.
So in honor of all Fathers Let's give a big hand clap.
And when they all get home, they deserve a midday nap.

Excellent stuff. I'm sure everyone can relate to this, in one way or another.
All the best, Chris.
