sentenced to sadness, wishing to fly,
away from all the sorrow and pain,
so many people you'll never see again,
keeping inside these feelings you hide,
love comes and goes just like the tide,
remembering , that in your heart you know,
real love deserves a place to go,
always quiet even when called,
silent , curiously observing all,
praying to find a ray of light,
to free you from this permanent night,
all these feelings of guilt and pain,
scared to even try again,
amused, you watch the happy faces,
content lovers holding hands going places,
secretly hoping that someday,
that ray of light will come your way,
love always pawned like a fake diamond ring,
life anew, changed so many things,
a broken life becomes true pain,
but really there is no need to complain,
for each day is a precious gift,
and sometimes spirits are hard to lift,
so for now keep dreaming that you might,
be shined on, by your ray of light.

Each day is a gift so is your ability to express your thoughts. A light is shining on you.
