Array ( [sid] => 161247 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Quest for true Happiness [time] => 2010-07-19 16:57:57 [hometext] => I just started writing, and this was something that was on my mind, I'm not sure if it's categorized as poetry though. [bodytext] => Quest for true Happiness

What kind of sacrifices would we make to gain true happiness in our lives?
True happiness won't just come knocking on your door, but if it does embrace it
And never let it go, because the most of us are always wondering and dreaming what it would be like .
I would probably risk my life to find true happiness, but I just recently started wondering if I would risk the happiness I already have to find it.

But if I start looking at what happened in my life the last couple of months, I actually realized that I've already taken quite some risks, just to attempt to fulfill a non-logical desire. You realize that your mind is playing tricks; sometimes it makes no sense at all. This desire is an illusion of the mind just to confuse us and as a consequence we're not thinking straight anymore, that's why we make bad decisions at those times.

So I became infatuated by someone, I made a complete fool of myself. I opened up to her, tried to show what I'm all about and only after a while it was clear that I had no chance at all. And on top of that it seemed that everyone knew about it. Everyone was laughing and just stared at me as if I were some strange creature. I was quite disappointed to say the least.

But that's alright; you knew the risks and what you could possibly gain if you took them and everyone will just forget after a while.
If it's not our lives we're risking but a part of our happiness, then we can always try again and again and again. Until we find that one person or one thing, until we finish our quest for true happiness.

So become infatuated, believe in the illusion your mind made, risk it all, be laughed at and laugh it away, be disappointed, forgive and forget, just realize what you could gain, even if your chances are slim. And after you've put it all behind you…

Start again from the beginning…

For even when I need to repeat this cycle a thousand times, I won't stop until I've found the Faceless Angel, who is running around in my mind and in my dreams.
