CINDERELLA GROWS OLD

"Ahhhhhhhhh Cinderella, every young girl's dream!
Pumpkin carriage, handsome Prince, Ballroom theme.
Everyone grows old Cinderella, please don't cry.......
This is your Fairy God Mother speaking,
upon me you can rely!"

Cinderella crying while sitting upon her rocking chair.
Startled when her Fairy God Mother appeared in the air!
Her old cat Bob was scared too, he was her constant companion.
Living alone, she was never able to have children.

The Fairy God Mother replied very kindly..........
"Cinderella you have lived an exemplary life.
Now dead is your Prince," she said with a curtsey.
I'm going to grant you three wishes, you were a good wife!"

Cinderella is so thrilled....she begins to think?
"Well, the Prince was wonderful, but not an investor.
I live from paycheck to paycheck, they're gone in a wink.......
I'd wish that I was richer than any actor!"

Suddenly, her rocking chair turned to solid gold!
"Oh, Thank you Fairy God Mother!" Cinderella said.
Then she said, "Could you make my frail body not old?"
Instantly, her beautiful body restored from toes to forehead!

Cinderella felt stirrings inside her, dormant for years!
"You have one more wish my dear, now dry those tears."
"I wish for you to transform Bob my loving cat into a kind Prince."
Magically, Bob, the old cat underwent a tremendous transformation
without a wince!

When he stood before her, he was so beautiful.........
No where in the Kingdom had she seen anyone so handsome,
not even in the castle!
Then the Fairy God Mother said, "Congratulations.....Enjoy!"
She disappeared in a flash, she was only a good Envoy.

Cinderella and the beautiful Prince begin to dance........
She had completely forgotten about their romance!
It had been so long.....she had even forgotten all about
being intimate........she was bothered.
The Prince then holds her tightly, and whispers in her ear........
"Now, aren't you sorry for having me neutered?"

"Have faith in your dreams, and someday
your rainbow will come smiling through.
No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep
on believing, the dream that you wish will come true."

Dearest Consue,
You have certainly struck my funny bone with this lovely but too cute verse. I'll take this smile to bed with me & I appreciate that. I love Cinderella's qoute, at the end, as much as the poem. It rings so true.
Take care be well. elle :)
