[hometext] => This poem was inspired by my encounter with a special ed classmate I had recently. He graduated last year and I seen him at a walmart. My sister tells me he walks there every single day and gets kicked out because he makes people uncomfortable.
[bodytext] => I seen him today. He was happy. He's always happy. And yet they kicked him out of the store. And not just one but more. Because of that. Because he smiles. And stares at people. And it scares them. To see someone that happy, To get a wave or smile from a stranger, To have someone stare at them, Contemplate them, For long periods of time, Because they know they have something to hide. And they feel uncomfortable. I'm sure he knows what it is. They think he's not all there. But I say he's got it all figured out. He's happy. All the time. He's polite and friendly To all. He walks away when he knows he's not wanted. And keeps going. And keeps smiling. With no worries at all. <3 [comments] => 2 [counter] => 153 [topic] => 19 [informant] => jellybean04 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )
