My skyline is smudged amber
By the sun setting over Llangynidr moor.
In this place of lonely contemplation
Hills and trees and sky are all reflected
In the mirror of my imagination.
The nearest hills and far horizons
Are brought to perfection by this one magical moment.
The birds have fallen silent,
A lone tractor throbs its way along the valley bottom
And at the edge of the wood
That straggles the path
A lone rowan tree waits, tall and elegant,
Like a fine lady lost in a waltzing dream on the dance floor,
The berries, her pouting lips, stained crimson.
I bow my head in acknowledgement of her beauty,
And thank my amber smudged sky
For this moment. You are a helpless romantic! Gee...what a beautiful and elegant...even reverent description you've given of this very special place you know about. Reading it, I was almost transported there, myself. Very very VERY well-written. Keep it up. You're very good at this.
