Array ( [sid] => 162787 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Mask Of Madness [time] => 2010-10-16 10:59:05 [hometext] => It's not a perfect poem...it's also big..it talks about how we all pretend in out everyday lifes, and how we all fail to realise it by the use of rationalisations... [bodytext] =>

From the light we come
into a world of darkness
where justice we create
To point what really matters

From light we are made
and by our purity we shine
until we feel ashamed
and turn the glow into cry

Cause the justice we created
never measured things right
cause what matters can't be touched
and has neither weight nor height..

And that's when it strikes us
a desire for a theatrical play
were the audience is us
and the characters we also play

Thousands of masks we wear
each and every other day
and as the shine fades away
we allways forget whom we've slained

We become part of the Illusion
we desperately try to sell
and we live with the dellusion
that we have none but ourselves

But "us" we are long long gone
into the very void we run away from

But as you know the fire never dies
So many can open up their eyes
but most get hit by the sin of pride
and into labor they once again "fly"

Flying free into a world of bars
Filled with darkness and blind stars

But then you come
so young and wild
ready to make the world yours
and once again to shine

But the only way to succeed
is to finally realise
that the beggining of your path
is also the final excersise

To capture the one that slained you
To capture your own very self
To beat this final test
To carry and save all the rest

But beware because
it'll also be your final act
with the very final mask!
and never forget:
From the light we come, into a world of darkness
and to shine again you must destroy
your bloody mask of madness [comments] => 1 [counter] => 86 [topic] => 43 [informant] => TheDio [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

interesting. I like the like "cause the justice we created, never measured things right." I like poems that make me think, and you did so. Nice poem.
