Array ( [sid] => 163473 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Out of the Darkness [time] => 2010-11-30 01:07:00 [hometext] => All we need is love to find ourselves again. In the poem it is a woman I speak of, but this applies to every person who has ever been hurt or lost. [bodytext] => Smooth red sheets upon her skin
A tempered beauty deep within,
Atop a heap of tender silk,
And like a rose, her heart does wilt,

Her petals float and gently soar,
And when they land upon the shore,
The tender waves will carry them,
Up to a dark and shadowed glen,

And it is there that they will find,
A beauty that lies deep inside,
Her shattered heart is waiting there,
And it may seem beyond repair,

But in the black of darkest night,
Your love will help her find the light.

This poem has beauty, rhythm, and a wonderful almost hypnotic cadence. What I think your stunning, and dare I say "glorious" poem implies is: HOPE! DON'T GIVE UP, MY DARLING! I'M COMING FOR YOU! That and more. Your concluding lines reach beyond the normal bounds of beauty and truth as we know it...they are SPELLBINDING! "But in the black of darkest night...your love will help her find the light." My God, this is an incredible poem that you have constructed. Your audience begs for more from you!
