You plant a seed in the winter
And hope that grows
You keep it warm and safe from danger
Knowing one day, it will be a rose
You think love should last forever
An endless show of faith
But they say time can break your feelings
And all your love will go to waste
You awake as a newborn
Crying tears of a world not seen
You live a life and watch it fly by
You're left thinking, there's no in-between
You have a dream you want to fulfill
But your health will play its part
They say time can be a healer
But can it mend a broken heart?
You're on your way to the promised land
But regrets outlive your pride
You showed the world that you were happy
When loneliness was really inside
Just remember, you only get one chance
To right all your wrongs
They say time can make a difference
But the road will be long...

I like the strength of the poem and the message is a great one. Be true to yourself and others so that guilt doesn't consume future years.The relentless tick and tock reminding you to live for now. Awesome subject and the imagery was well written.

Oh it is AWESOME such a beautiful poem. I know there in pain and love but the way you write it and the last 4 lines holds the power of all.
