That breathless daydream state
My thoughts only of you
My mind was in its element
My pen moved right on cue
My heart needed somewhere
A loving place to go
So I wrote a little poem
And let the feelings flow
They wove a new story
They built a heartfelt rhyme
The endless scrawls upon my page
Completed, every time
But now the past is gone
I sit holding my pen
Wishing that the words will move
So I can write again
