You tried so hard to please us
but in the end it brought you nothing.
And thats what hurts me the most.
Clouds in your eyes hid all your love.
You decive yourself when you drunk away.
You hurt your doughter when the most important thing in your life became bottles on the selves.
You've danced to the tune of vodka befor,
but nw the beats gotten faster.
You treaure a drop of booze more than your very own family.
You admit your a drunk
but your to proud to seek the help you need,
and as i grow,
my biggest fear is to be just like you,
And thats what i fear the most.

Awww this is very sad, but so well written. My father-in-law was an alcoholic and I have a fair idea what you are going through. My heart goes out to you. I can sense your love for your Dad...don't lose it...
Hugs,
Jenni

This is so sad. Yes I can relate. My father is an alcoholic. I grew up with it as you are. I know how you feel. Im not sure how old you are but there are programs for you. See every person in the household is made sick by the alcoholic even if one doesn't realize it. Seek out a alonon group or a alo teen group. Adult children of alcoholics is another good one. They are all amasing!! Sorry I just wanted too help. If you ever need to chat email me I can relate. concretecowgirl32@hotmail.com
sending you a hug.

So real and heartfelt. So many people struggle with this demon disease and it affects everyone as much as if the person had a cancer. Nice write.
