I close my eyes
and summon you
into my dreams
I reach out my hand
and gently touch your face
sweetly, I kiss your lips
longing for the simple taste
I hold you so close
it becomes almost impossible
to tear our bodies apart
upon my awakening
I find only an empty pillow
where your head should lay
and disappointment fills my day
until I see you once again
in my dreams
