A beautiful sight all around.
Children laughing and playing with glee.
It's like a blanket of white thrown over the sea.

Catching snowflakes with warm gloves.
Looking at the intricate designs falling from above.
Building a fort and having snowball fights.
Drinking hot chocolate and enjoying the sights.

Hugging each other under the cover.
Kissing with so much passion yet to be discovered.
Cuddling at night by the fire place.
Tightly interlocked with no breathing space.

Candies, cookies and cinnamon rolls.
Trays of pies and fudge filled bowls.
Drinking apple cider and eating cake.
Leaving room for the sweet potato pie I've yet to take.

I hope you see why winter is so great.
I love it so much not even an ounce of hate.
Winter is lovely like a piece of art.
That's why it will always rule over my heart.
