Balcony winds twisting through daisies

Eyes mourning sun drenched panes

Hands tremble disconnecting calls

Kerouac flashbacks and diner black

Sleepy bottles hide bedside faith

Ocean eyes broker a trade for pain

Medicating pressure to breathe again

Punctuality parallel to the velvet noose

Below marquis lights soul shakers snap

You’re a star waiting to shoot someone

Hmmmm...it's definitely living up to the title, at least for me, as I can feel this "spiral" effect...even if I don't really understand it.

Thanks,

Tim

where do I start well i absolutely love and respect the way you write, and the depth of this writing is wonderful a whole onion of unravelling in imagery to be done whilst the whole picture unashamedly reflects your soul, this one I think is one of the rare writes attributed to a writer when they write in their own blood,a complete gamut of emotion from emptiness to inner struggle through pain to anger and then?

A marvelous and intricate passage
the depths to which the human soul can spiral is beyond us
This write relative everyone
despair and emptiness are lonely dark places
where crutches are so inviting
the scene was depicted so thoroughly while it became so vivid to read
well versed,nicely delivered

'Spirals' has received much well-deserved praise. Can i add anything to it? Well, I can say the poem ripped me apart and the last line really 'shot' through me; and that the images are so profound I think i could read this poem many many times before 'seeing' them all -- if ever I could do that. You have a special way with words. A style. You have a singular style.
