I saw you
But you didn't see me
There was no recognition
Just animosity
No glance at my face
No catching of the eye
Your smile long forgotten
Your countenance was dry
Did we ever meet?
In that time before?
Perhaps it was a dream
The tale become folk lore
Still, I know the bitter truth
The harsh reality
Today, at once, I saw you
But you did not see me
