Array ( [sid] => 164397 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Short time here. [time] => 2011-01-22 17:25:52 [hometext] => This poem is basically about how people don't realize how short life is. People don't realize it until a minute before 12., which means it's too late, time has passed you by. [bodytext] => The night sky is clear
The stars do so brightly shine.
As I stand there starring
I am in a world that’s mine

Gazing and glaring
At every little star
It gives me time
to wonder who we really are.

Life on this planet
Is a mere blink of an eye
Something we don’t think of
Until just before we die.

Eternity is forever
Eighty or so years is just a part.
If you don’t enjoy happiness
You’ll always have a broken heart.

My reason for writing this
Is to share my thoughts with you
Forget about all the bad stuff
The good stuff is overdue.

During our life here
Many memories are daily made
If we keep stressing about the bad stuff
Our memories will fade and fade.

So as I stand
And look deep into the sky
I find myself thinking
And realize all the reasons why.

Nobody can create
The person that I turn out to be
It is my own thinking
That can control me.

If I choose to live my life
according to what others see
Then I will change the path
Of what my life is supposed to be.

If I allow my thoughts
To be altered in any way
Time keeps on going
And I have lost another day.

Wake up and realize
The blessings we have each and every day
So you can enjoy your life
For the short time, here to stay.
