Of days gone by
I feel your warm embrace
And as you pass me by
I will remember you
Always, I will remember you

I see your face
Smiling in my dreams
As I once held you close
And now apart it seems
Is where you wanted me
How could this ever be?

You drift so far away
Into the oceans deep
And in the dark I find you
Sunken in my sleep
I will remember you
Always, I will remember you

I remember bittersweet poetry
My one love who had none she could show to me
You said you never felt a man would ever care for you
You left them all in a game you were too scared to lose
And in your grief as you try to drink up the sea
Please sink away and remember me

Into memories
Of days gone by
I feel your warm embrace
And as you pass me by
I will remember you
Always, I will remember you

I see my childhood upon your face
As we grew up fast in such a distant place
15 years for such a pretty girl
Is short-lived to leave behind such an ugly world
It left you hanging cold there on mothers day
And in the ground as you slipped away
Two years and you’re still never dead to me
Your spirit lives on as a memory

And it’s those memories
Of days gone by
I feel your warm embrace
And as you pass me by
I will remember you
Always, I will remember you
