Her eyes asked questions, her smile so bright
She remains in my dreams night after night
When we first met I was in awe
Her beautiful scent as I opened the door
In the background within a shadow to ride
We were so near but I continued to hide
I was but pretence so empty without
From my deepest parts I wanted to shout
An eon passed before my courage grew
But even then, simply, I never had a clue
With all the chances that came my way
Nothing I knew could entice her to stay
So now my thoughts seem remise
I walk away and blow a hidden kiss
Never to taste her breath or feel her lips
And to place my hand upon her hips
Farewell my one true love for I must go
Youre all I ever wanted but will never know
