Don't really know what to do
Running out of options
And places to go

I'm scared to be without a home
I'm scared to be alone
But I guess thats what I get
I guess I'll have to cope

What I find myself searching for
Will I ever find?
This is the major question
That stands the test of time

I feel the insecurity
The sense of wonder
Will I find my way?
Or will I fall on my face?

I'm lost at a standstill
As my heart is burdened
By the lack of strength
That I hold inside

I'm not as strong as I thought I was
Or as strong as I needed to be
I guess I'm in the middle
Of death and liberty

I can fall now
Or try to fly
But here I am in the middle
Wondering what to try

For so many things hang
In the balance of time
Which is of the essence
And not mine

I wonder where to go
When cast out on my own
Into a world that makes it hard to live
On just my single salary

For me alone I cannot stand
So where do I confide
All I want to do
Is find a way to fly

So again here I am
Standing on the edge
Looking for an answer
If it can be found

Lovely depth of writing, soul searching, saying it as it is, leaving all the insecurities of questions unanswered but then life is the journey, esp like the 8th verse a little gem of wisdom.

i absolutely love this poem. I find myself thinking about these very things alot. but i have yet to put them into words so brilliantly. this really hits home. i love it.

my favorite stanza is :

I can fall now
Or try to fly
But here I am in the middle
Wondering what to try
