The ache in my chest has returned
A symptom of being alone
Desolation after your touch has burned

Scorched into my soul
Seeped through my very pores
Leaving me no longer feeling hole
My anguished heart is battered and sore

Screaming out the pain
The frustration of no power
Seeing everything I wish to gain
Like a mouthful of sugar tasting sour

First the sweetness and then the slap
Everything I want wrapped up in you
At my finger tips and then drawn back
Leaving me clueless as to what exactly to do

Like a sickness of the mind
My heart switches to override
It suddenly becomes blind
As it seeks to conquer and devide

Splitting my sense and my feelings
Causing this internal fight
Leaving me hopeless and reeling
As all reason and rational thought take flight. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Jussy74 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

well described. The depressing thought is that there are millions and millions of people on the earth and yet everyone on here seems to pick a bad egg!Are we all bad? or, do we expect too much of each other? I blame one person for breaking my heart and then years later treat someone else badly. I think we all kid ourselves. Let's all be selfish and not try to make things perfect whilst not expecting perfection in return, then we'll all be fine.

ahhh. Vodka makes things so clear

I sense a loss of control. Great writing!
