Suggesting lousy things for me
the worst kind are celebrities
who cash in with their sleaze and cheese
T.V. Hunks sell gel, or foam
razor blades with strength of storm
washing powder named by sea
or happy people picking tea
jam rags worn by acrobats
and burgers just don't look like that
short term loans they set you free
of your cash and liberty
funeral plans are a good stock
including a free carriage clock
athlete's will be in the pink
with the latest glucose drink
all this goes on for a while
some funny adverts make me smile
even though since I was 10
shown again, again, again
I guess that it is my mistake
watching T.V. at the break
waiting for it to resume
brush my brain out with a broom
corner chevron's bring relief
the broadcast returns to grief
a drama docu' that's so sad
holes in plot that drive me mad
the ad's are bad, I know it's true
but why do I sit stuck like glue?
whilst ad breaks bug me, they set the scene
for all the drivel in-between. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 95 [topic] => 7 [informant] => poeticjestix [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

How true this is lol.
I really liked the bit about funeral plans sold with a carriage clock.
To this day I've never understood that, maybe it's so you can watch the tick tock of your own impending death lol.
Made me smile anyway.

Steve
