Sitting around pondering my thoughts
Thinking about the things you say and what not
What I need to know is do you take such things to heart
After all these jokes don't promise a smooth start
Will you be the man to comfort me when I need it
Will you be the man to hold my hand for every child I bear for you
Will you be the man to give me some help when I'm run down
And will you be the man to make this a perfect love
I know you're still young but you're older than me
And I hope my point of view you will see
For I'm trying my best to make this work for two
But I can't do it if I don't have assistance from you
Will you be the man to hold me in the middle of the night
The man who will never let me out of his sight
The man to hold my hair back when the morning sickness comes
And will you be the man for me; will you be the One
