Youre Young And I Will Always Be Old
Twixt the night and the day
Youll hear them all say
That Im nought but a paramour
Forever at your front door
For youre young and I will always be old
Without you my heart breaks
Yet in your arms Im all shakes
But not from the cold
But because youve been told
That youre young and I will always be old
Your heart will not break
But mine it will ache
Should we part here today
But remember what they say
That youre young and I will always be old.
You will find future love
From the heavens above
Because you are harmony
And Cupid your destiny
Youre young and I will always be old.
When the arrow is drawn
Though you pout and you scorn
The mark will be found
And the trumpets will sound
When youre young and I will always be old
He will come to you then
In a deep forest glen
And take of your hand
As my heart turns to sand
When youre young and I will always be old
He will pledge his great love
To the heavens above
And youll smile because youre sure
That his hearts really pure
When youre young and I will always be old
Youll take of his heart
And never be apart
For hes really the one
And your heart he has won
When youre young and I will always be old
But when I lay dying
I know Ill be crying
Because you will know too
That Im thinking of you
When youre old and my own soul grows cold
