Array ( [sid] => 16777 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Bad Kids [time] => 2003-04-30 16:05:00 [hometext] => When will people learn.... i wont say i don't sterotype people...but at least I admit and i am working on it... Sterotypes ...they never give people a chance [bodytext] => It's easy to complain
to say how bad;
suicide,drug addicts,and teen pregnacies are.
but thats just sad

For once I thought
but maybe that was the problem
that maybe people would look beyond that
see through the issue

However the human mind
doesn't work that way
your problem becomes you,and that becomes your label
knowing I don't have a say

just seeming to think that way
makes the bad kids just slip
slip far away, no one showed them attention
No one cared, ....they were bad
It was so much of a gust

they just ...left
guess that whole " my house , my rules" didn't fly
no kid begins or will ever stay bad
but they do , they lie

you can't really blame them
being scorned and b****ed at day by day
doesn't prove anything to them
except they should learn to lie better and gay

show them, all of them
that no matter what, YOU care
forcing them to break
just like my bear

they will do what is right
and even ask
please help me.
it may seem that they wear a mask

but no kid is or will ever be a bad kid...just temporaily lost...i know...because i am

Jillian, so much has happened, so much time has been lost and now only now, do I realize what this distance and time has been meaning to show me. I never read this poem and I don't know why. It was most likely during that time when my words, they didn't come out like that had before and now... they still don't and things will never be the same.

You told me once that it is not hard to be a grown up but it is hard to be growing up and you are more than right. It is not easy to be a teenager now a days but with a little patience and the right friends to lead you, everything will work out in the end.

I can still remember when I found about Brenna... my whole body became numb with anger and fury. So many people asked me and so many people questioned what had happened and even though you had not yet told me... I knew. I could feel it... I could sense it. I guess all the signs were there but I had been too naive to see them and in this poem... you really brought that to life for me.

No kid is ever a bad kid... but trying to find themselves and their place in this chaotic world where being different is just not acceptable.

I am at awe when it comes to your gift Jillian.. truely amazing. ---Amy
