[bodytext] => A New Beginning A hail of spent bullets falls to the ground Joining the dead and the dying lying around Blood mixes with sand in the proud and ravaged land It signifies the end of war The mad dog breathes no more. The ululation of shrieks and cries fill the sky A symphony of joy and grief produced as they cry Mourning the fallen but heralding a new dawn It signifies the end of war The mad dog breathes no more. The thousands of souls round the world that were touched By a savage regime that killed many now hushed In a pregnant pause of bathos, reflection and anticipation. It signifies the end of war The mad dog breathes no more. We grieve for the innocent, for the martyrs we mourn But here and today a new country is born. The bloodied green flag lies strewn on the floor It signifies the end of war The mad dog breathes no more.
