Array ( [sid] => 16859 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Longing [time] => 2003-05-01 23:05:00 [hometext] => Have you met someone online and had an instant bond and connection?....And felt hopeless because they lived across the world...I have and maybe you can relate. [bodytext] => Across an ocean a heart does fly
Longing, needing to be by the side
Of the one it belongs to
Forever racing feeling the past
Beating faster as it gets close to you

Not knowing if the love will be recognized
Behind the mask
Having stopped for so long
This heart once so dead
Voices screaming now
Filling up my head

Tasting the blood with every beat
So strong
If it feels so right how can it be so wrong

I ask myself as onward I soar
Not daring to breath
My heart wanting more
Feeling blood pumping
Every cell alive
The rush of wind
Making me thrive

Searching the darkness now
Time standing still
No energy left now
No place to hide
Can never rest till your by my side

In my minds eye something moves
As I stop to see
Its you with arms outstretched
Beckoning for me

Im not soaring now
Im on the ground
Running through sand
True love found

Our eyes lock fingers entwine
I am yours and you are mine
Lips brush together slowly at first
A life time of pain melts
As sunlight burst
Lovers kept apart for ages
But now found
Our kiss so intense now
As we fall to the ground

Sunlight turns to darkness
Yet still we embrace
As we make love in the moonlight
Shadows dance across your face

Every fantasy every dream
We make come true
Never to be apart again
As I whisper I love you

Will this ever happen
Can it ever be
We wonder as we lay tangled
In our extasy

We glance at each other we smile
No words are needed
I lay back in your arms and sigh
Can it be this forbidden love or ours
Only time will tell
So for now we continue living
In constant hell

One day we will be together my love
As I say goodbye for now
And drop to my knees
Praying to the creator above

What a beautiful story! I can relate to it in the way that I interpreted it, but not exactly as you intended it, which is about an online relationship. But nonetheless, I love it! It moved me!

"Beating faster as it gets close to you"

"Can never rest till your by my side"

Excellent! Love it! Blessed be,

~ Moonlit Angel

~:*exceptional poem*:~ love it, ...in answer to your question, i have met someone online and met him in person twice, in sept i went to sydney for two weeks, then for a month over holiday he was here with me in the states, we have known each other 5 yrs and the distance broke us up once {my fault, but we remained the best of friends} now we are sure we belong together, all i can say is if your still in this long distance relationship, hang in there, they work, but it is very hard, nights are the worst when your sleeping alone in bed and the one you love is on the other side of the world *pouts* your poem is devine:) hugs n' love nessa
