Of a bustling city street.
The expected awful cat-calls,
Come and shake her head to feet.

She wonders why she is alone.
She craves to only love.
It was what was placed within her,
And it came straight from above.

The men go by and strain their necks,
As she turns her head away.
She tries not to let it bother her,
Of the vulgar things they say.

She is some man’s precious daughter.
Why don’t you think a while?
If you find your daughter walking,
Will she only wear a smile?

Before you stick your head out,
And do what makes your pals laugh loud,
Just pretend she was your daughter,
And of her you’re very proud.

Then you’ll only want to protect her.
So just smile and say “good day!”
And help her lift her head up,
Instead of always looking away!

She is someone's dear sweet daughter.
The apple of daddy's eye!
And if you are a decent father,
You’ll no longer make her cry.

Thought: If we would change our own hearts,
then we can bless the hearts of others.

Dear respected robert edgar burns,

A really lovely poem is written
This poetree has lots of fruits
How finely mind has thought!
The World has also Angels
They convey noble ideas
That soothe the soul
What a lovely write is this!
It requires great approbation
May God bless this poet
To write like this often
To make a place for nobility.

With best wishes, Thanking you, Yours truly,

mvvenkataraman
