What right have I to bathe in security? of my own self pitying sorrow
What have I got within my heart that can answer a troubled soul?
Where is the glue I think I can use that can make a person whole?

Who do I think I am that I can find life such a troublesome road?
How many stones of burden can I carry to add to my cynical load?
How much more rain can I gather, under all my darkest skies?
And how much more can I feed, the nature I inwardly despise?

My peace is with the smallest gesture a gift not worth a mention.
For it is with the action of doing nothing I fulfil my imperfection!

Very deep. Your compassion and caring for others is genuine yet you cannot heal the world. At least that's what I get out of this.

Love how your heart shines in your poetry.

Tim

Hi Anna,

We're only human - there is no magic wand.
Well phrased.

I have always admired your work and its always incredibly human. You really put your work out there and it contains so much feeling that it captivates. Sometimes its incredibly difficult realizing that we can only do what we can and coming to that realization knocks the wind out of us at times. You have a lot of talent and its a pleasure reading.
