pouring out over you and over me again
we forget what became of perpetuation
as we long for days we won't wonder when

we could think of us just a little bit
too much then and well you'll lose it
now i'm lost myself in the certainty
that there's nothing barring down on me
as you drive... down... a way...

it's the same parade of desecration
soothing revelries down sinful paths
leading symphonies sour to permutation
as the orchestra falls through the back

just think of us now only a little bit
too much then and well i'll lose it
now you're lost, lost in affinities
lost in circumstance, lost in the new...

it's the same disdain of separation
that binds character to self-restraint
times progress a mess in old elations
well now i've found a portrait to paint

myself.
in myself...
supposedly something...
there has to be something
between you and me...

as you drive, you drive, down a way
as you dive, you strive, down a way
as you live, you die, down a way
as you drive, you drive down your way
