Array ( [sid] => 169045 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => you shoulda stayed close kid [time] => 2011-12-05 13:26:04 [hometext] => this poem is about how a father would feel after loosing his little son becuase he slipped away from him 4 just one second [bodytext] => innocent and young
with no reason for death
mom always told u to stay close for a reason
kus u never knew
if it might be the last time u left

what if you died
i would never tell u goodnight
before u fell into bed
cant get rid of my head
the fact that you aint alive!
the fact that you dead
is tearin me inside

this THIS hurts
i wish i could hide it
forget about it
but u ment so much to me
ur not here
i still cant believe
cant believe
that it took 9 months for u to become
and a few seconds for you to leave
for ur heart beat to stop tapping
when mom said smthn is kus she knew somthn bad was fnna happen

stay close kid
u aint old enough to be wondering of
these words arent to harm u
there to keep you from harm
from flying above

take you outta harms way
wish i could go back to dat day
and stop u from from slipping my hand
how can i as a man let my kid leave
and let that moment be
kid u shde listenna me
but still it was responsibility to keep u close
i dont have you no more
only in my heart
hurts this hurts i cant go next door
and play lil toy cars with my kid
far apart u got hit by a car
and so did my heart get hit [comments] => 0 [counter] => 129 [topic] => 48 [informant] => lyricalpoet [notes] => Please do not comment on your own work. Your comment on this poem has been removed. Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
