In a land not far away,
There lived a boy named Lucas,
And how that boy could play.

He was his mommy’s pride and joy,
And his daddy’s little champ.
He was his grandpa’s bestest friend
And his grandma’s little scamp!

He worked along with grownups
In the garden raking leaves.
And with his water shooters
He watered grandpa’s trees.

When he was just a baby,
He only could say Wahaaaa.
But now he likes his knock knock jokes,
And often yells ha ha!

Other times he drives his truck
And he likes best second gear.
But he never drives far out of sight
Keeping grandma from great fear.

Lukie likes McDonald’s,
For the Playground is quite fun.
But Chic Filet on any day
Is indoors out of the sun.

Lukie loves chocolate breakfast bars,
M & M’s his favorite treat.
And Cheesy macaroni
Is one thing he’ll always eat.

A black and white cute baby bear
Has been with him since the start.
He hugs him very tenderly
And cradles him near his heart.

Well, Lukie loves his cookies,
So much he should be fat!
But he grows so tall and skinny,
Can you imagine that!

He loves to hear The Lukie song
His grandpa wrote for him.
And dances till he finally falls
All dizzy from the spins.

Lifting up the sheets in bed,
You’ll often hear this sound;
“Grandma, you can’t find me!”
So she searches all around.

Now I could write forevermore
But the reading would be too long.
So come on over when Lukie’s here,
And you can play along!

Well Mr. Burns, only YOU could write a poem as beautiful and touching as this... Lukie sounds like so much fun.... Great reading your work again. Glad I popped in tonight...
