Stand on the edge of a cliff

In pitch-black darkness

Don't try to see where you're at

Don't try to see your surroundings...

Paint yourself a reality

Of an imaginative mentality

Whatever comes to mind

Set your mind to it

Create your masterpiece stroke by stroke

Eliminate the pitch-black

Generate the blue, green, red, yellow

Create your world with your artistic visions

Face your fears......

Jump across the Grand Canyon

Walk on the air you breathe

Look down only once though

Keep in mind that's where your journey began

Then look up at the sky

Being mindful that you can float higher than where you already are

Look at each side of you

As a reminder that nothing is lifting you up

Absolutely nothing is of assistance but yourself

Your arms aren't being pulled up

And your legs aren't being pushed upi

The only thing lifting YOU up

Is your own spirit

Face your fears......

Look death in his face

Tell 'em what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Then kill youself right in front of him

Watch yourself bleed drastically

As if then wound wasn't even there

Let death watch your wound miraculously vanish

Magically disappear

Then wach his face expression

As he go from sweet satisfaction

To spicy disbelief and salty disappointment

Then smile in his face

Laugh dramatically in his moment of humiliation and failure

Face Your Fears......

For once you conquer them,

You are immortal

If only immortality were so easy :) I force myself to face my fears regardless, but it would be nice! I do of course realize you are speaking metaphorically. There is a lot of truth and inspiration in this poem. Well done.
