A Hard Choice

To lose a friend or to lose my kin
Is a had choice to make.
Family lost is a difficult cost
for love.
Yet love for one who would throw
me by the wayside is no love or
friend at all.
Still there's a hollowness in
my gut.
And I found myself in this rut
To lose a friend or to lose
my kin.
A choice I cannot make!
