but i have known you long enough to know
you are hurting and sad and yes even sometimes mad
you had to say goodbye to two furry friends
your time with them has come to an end
you may think that no one cares how you are feeling
but inside your heart is reeling
life has not gone how you wanted it to
and I am sorry you are in pain
and some days you may feel as if there is only rain
but i am here
so show me your fear, your sadness , your sorrow
and i promise i will be here tomorrow
we may say things that hurt each other
make each other mad
and yes perhaps even sad too
but know this right now
i am here for you
so when you feel weak lean on me

you dont think you let it show
but i have known you long enough to know
you are hurting and sad and yes even sometimes mad
