Upon a single lonely teardrop
It falls in perfect motion
Cutting the tension in the air
The golden band upon his once gentle hand
Is now drowning in crimson blood
The wrinkles on his pitiful face
Pull down his lips into a frown
The beating he has just delivered
Will forever put a noose around his heart
His saddened eyes look up at her
Her tiny body in a ball
Her tiny limbs, angelic face
All stained with the crimson blood
Her trembling body crying
Her hearts been torn in two
Oh, my dearest daddy
What have I made you do?
The breathlessness takes over
He falls down to his knees
And in the next few seconds
He remembers yesterday...
A day that brought her giggles
A day that brought him joy
She wrapped her fragile arms around his neck
A thank you he shall never forget
She had froliced in the yard all day
Her new companion at her side
He even laid beside her bed
And watched her while she dreamed
But deep inside his canine head
A monstrous urge was churning
Deep in the heat of the afternoon
The sweat poured off her brow
All she wanted was some love
To hold her newest friend
With the sun beating down and the heat pressing on
He turned into a beast
One bite he got was lucky
The next found him his doom
For that gentle hand now turned to stone
And wrapped around his neck...
His big strong hands reached out to her
She rushed into his arms
She wrapped her fragile arms around his neck
A thank you he shall never forget...
