Why are things so outta hand
I tried patience
But I reached the point I just cannot stand it anymore
My foolish pride forced me to fight alone
But now I see I'm powerless on my own
And outnumbered
Still feel the pain from losing my mother
And the grim reaper's dying to feed off the soul of my brother
Maybe Donavan was right
Could it be my fault
All this misfortune goin on
Could I be the cause
Am I too great a burden
I try answering these questions myself
But it ain't workin
Opportunity doesn't always knock
But every time I built a door
Satan burned it down and had it destroyed
And opportunity burned to ashes with it
I'm frustrated
Almost outta patience, I can't take this
I know I got a long way to go
But I've lost so much
I don't think I wanna go this way no more
If all my profits don't outweigh my losses
What am I workin for
When I'm destined to fall
Standing tall
Height means nothing when your back's against the wall
What am I to do
I'm about to lose and I can't find a way through
I'm about ready to give up
Have mercy on me already cuz the damage is done
God...

Excuse me for my moment of weakness
But I can't hold these tears from hitting my lyrics
I'm a broken spirit
Giving my all but I'm almost empty
Nearly nothing in me
But I got enough to make one last stand
If I fail yet again
I pray my soul ends up in your hands... [comments] => 1 [counter] => 237 [topic] => 32 [informant] => Blackheart [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

Great poem dear friend.
There would be no redemption for mankind had not Jesus called out "Father why hast thou forsaken me"?
Suffering is participation in His work.
You are in the palm of His hand !

Blessings
Elizabeth
