My searching has been a hopeless journey.
Losing my way on unforgiving roads.
Fighting to push on and pursue the goal of happiness.
Lost in a spiral of what seems to be my end.

Not realizing what was truly there.
Buried deep within behind thick walls.
Waiting to surprise me when I needed it the most.
Coming to the rescue when I have fallen to the ground.
For it has been the angel I have always had.

For what I speak of is courage.
The courage that all of us have.
Whether you know it or not, I know it's there.
It can be lost but surely found.
For I have found, that it will always hold true.

My faith in myself has been shattered,
Maybe more times that I can count.
Picking myself was only half the problem,
It was surely the right thing to do.
For I am here shining like a star.

With this courage, we all can succeed.
Big or small we can conquer.
Fight off our fears and the inner demons.
So do not fret, for we are always able.
To find that long lost courage, deep within. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 145 [topic] => 19 [informant] => ShaeBay [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )

Very interesting. Well written. The schools teach self esteem to our children. The Bible teaches that we should not trust in our own devices, but in God. "There is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the way thereof is the way of death." Courage is alright, I guess, in the defense, or promotion of good.
