Array ( [sid] => 172571 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Shoulder to Shoulder. [time] => 2012-05-19 01:25:39 [hometext] => kinda preachy and full of irony however I just type what my brain tells me, [bodytext] =>

Lights dark, shadows masking images created within the mind.
Reflection seen as ugly, beauty is not breaking through.
Treasure in your smile, strength hidden behind worry of others views.
Walking in another set of shoes, masks an everyday occurrence,
Forgetting the moment we are, the stars we will all one day become.
We are balance and light.
Not a reflection but a powerful image.

Alone tho we are not.

We are strength for another.
An arm to hold, to protect one from the rain.
As every creature as every leaf grown in the nurture of the sun,
We all walk on the same paths, all looking for protection from the storm.
Symbiosis matched in a cycle of survival.

Within this ball of confusion we seem to dominate one form or another.
Dominance the key in our thinking mentality
Destruction of reason, corruption the majority.
History sought to be number one, no brothers in arms just one to rule them all.
Spoiled crowns unknowing of starvation, telling us how we should live from billion dollar homes.

But as history shows... In every moment, clock chime, everyday is change.

Within the pages are great stories of people looking for freedom to move.
To want to grow and take care of the flock.
Days just pushed away with fear and ten foot fences.
Community brings propaganda of communism and who wants to share.
Blinding by the kings lies, and the capitalism they sow.
Cameras in corners protecting you from yourself.
Id to walk the street.

All of you who hold the seeds of change look to your neighbour who stands beside you.
Look to the hearts of those who also walk these same roads.
The beauty and strength in us all is enough to blow these walls down.
To strike with what they fear the most.

Us communicating.
Us speaking as equals and not anything more.
Shoulder to shoulder.
Heart to Heart.

Let us be separate in beliefs.
Who cares if we don't follow your fad.
If harm in not upon another then hold back your wicked tongue.
All we want is to know everything will be ok, to know that tomorrow has a better chance to shine.
Just give us all the freedom to live a life without having to sacrifice another.
So we all can be number one.
