A silence in the dark and an absence of a spark
Doesn’t matter.
The extinguishing of dreams and life tearing at the seams
Doesn’t matter.
The sense of isolation and the fear of condemnation
Just doesn’t matter.
The darkness in your head and the fight to leave your bed,
It doesn’t matter.

Swim until you cant see land
Swim until you cant see land
Swim until you cant see land
When all there is gets out of hand.

Get tired of taking pills and paying bills
They don’t matter.
You see the impending doom intruding from the gloom
It doesn’t matter.
Was it just a turn of fate that brought on self hate?
Doesn’t matter.

Swim until you cant see land
Swim until you cant see land
Swim until you cant see land
Drowning is all that’s left to understand.

So you get a length of rope because you’re devoid of hope,
Doesn’t matter.
You get a vacant stare because you think that you don’t care
And it doesn’t matter.
And you left them all behind because you felt trapped and confined
Didn’t matter.

So you swim until you cant see land
Swim until you cant see land
Swim until you cant see land
Draw a last line in the sand. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 153 [topic] => 43 [informant] => outsider [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
