It is the apple core.
Where the demons roam,
Where the angels sore.

Life is the red skin we eat,
It is the wax we burn.
Where we live contently,
Where we enjoy, and where we learn.

Most times, we let it rot away,
We use the candles for show.
It is an unopened gift,
Wrapped perfect with a shiny gold bow.

We must feast the flesh of life,
Burn the candles down to their wick.
We must free ourselves from fear,
As our clocks continue to tick. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 297 [topic] => 25 [informant] => snc54 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

Some sad truths are in this piece but within the wick that is to become exposed at the end is a force which if realised can revearse the melting of the candle enabling it to burn forever without shrinking or going out
