The distance between us
an eternity it seems
Like trying to touch
momentary dreams
The longing and waiting
what more can I do
I'm dyin and trying
to get my mind off you
Pulling and tugging
My gravity shifts
Your looks, your words
to my soul are gifts
Desperately needing
some sort of sign
To know just for sure
that are you mine
The distance is burning
like a freshly stoked fire
These feelings of yearning
in me you inspire
The longing and waiting
its driving me mad
It's like having a pen
with no writing pad
Every sight, every sound
its bringing me nearer
But its all in my head
and its becoming clearer
So, the pulling and tugging
and longing and waiting
It will all be worth
the encounter I'm awaiting
