Array ( [sid] => 173319 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Thanks to this Man [time] => 2012-07-10 14:30:53 [hometext] => This poem I created on father’s day for my pops [bodytext] => Wow what can I say
I wish to thank you
in so many ways

Thank you for this day
And that day
The next day
And yesterday

There are other things I must say
Before in my grave I lay
This no one can utter nay
It has to do with the molding of the Clay

Because of you
My existence was pressed play
I must not now thank this man
with no more delay

First thanks to this amazing man
To say If I could
be alive
Yes, o yes I can

Then puberty struck
My facial hair
was running amok
Its now time for
the first hairs to pluck

But I know
someone
with experience ,what luck!

It was now time
to be brave
Here he comes for
my first shave

He with the first trim
he gave
Manhood is the path
he paved
And the same is what I craved

Thanks to this amazing man
to say if I
could shave
Yes yes I can

I remember him with
the shakes
Showing me how to
drive screaming
Jose hit the breaks

I remember him
nervous sweating
a great deal to fill lakes
Although he is very protective
He is what great makes

Thanks to this amazing man
To say if
I could drive
Yes yes I can

Now my name is
jose
But my best friend
calls me jad

This friend is a great lad
In my 25 years
25 years together
is what we had

He always gave me
everything he could to
Never see me sad
He never hurt me
When I was bad

When I broke the rules
He kept his cool
He never really got mad

When I got good grades
he was always cheerful and glad
This is the man
That calls me jad

I most also now inform you
There is a comment I must instert
There is something must add

The best honor is when
people say to me wow
You look just like your dad

Of him I am the
number one fan
Proud to be part
of his clan

He has done many
great things
But the best was
his ultimate plan

Which is to help
me to become a man
He showed me not just crawled or walked
But He showed me ran

Yes thanks to this amazing man
To say: if I could have the best father in the world?
Yes o yes I can
